Clock - Thomas Mercer, St. Albans, England, rare chronometer table clock, fusee drive with spring detent escapement, helical hairspring, and 8-day winding indicator, measures 11.5 inches height x 10.5 inches width, 6 inches depth, wooden case with beveled glass side and top windows, silvered dial of approximately 5.8 inch diameter, KWKS (key not included with this lot), spring detent escapement, free-sprung bi-metallic balance with helical hairspring, spotted pattern gilt damascene mvt, s#1131. A rare and elegant high grade clock.
CONDITION:
Mvt: Running, good winding indicator function, excellent cosmetic mvt condition overall in visible portion; excellent dial with mild surface spot right of 11, few additional lesser small spots elsewhere; case shows hardly any wear; good glass crystals.
